Classic . Turned up thinking it would be flat. A couple of guys out catching knee high waves. May as well.
Just as I paddled out a shoulder height set of lefts peeled through and this was very much the start of things to come. Unfortunately this was my first outing wearing boots and I found Iwas catching my front foot on takeoff resulting in me surfing like a complete kook.
Wouldn't have been so bad if the surf were average but it was the best (and emptiest) I've seen West Dale for a while. So 5 star for conditions , 3 star for my ineptitude
